Grange Castle to Docklands Station via City Centre
Orginally planned to commence operation in March 2006, move on twelve months and throw in an additional 100 buses under Transport 21, build a new train station in the Docklands and move the 25/A to Phibsboro and roll in the 151...
The new high frequency route 151 service began operation from Conyngham Road Garage on Sunday the 4th March. The service operates approx. every 9 - 11 minutes Monday to Friday, every 15 minutes on Saturday and every 20 minutes on Sundays.
Operating from Grange Castle, just passed Clondalkin, via Nangor Road, Parkwest, New Nangor Road, Long Mile Road, Drimnagh Road, Crumlin Road, Dolphins Barn, Cork Street, Christchurch, Ormond Quay, Eden Quay, Custom House Quay, North Wall Quay, New Wapping Street and terminate at Docklands Station.
The return routing leaves Docklands Station via Guild St., North Wall Quay, Matt Talbot Bridge, George's Quay, Burgh Quay, D'Olier St., Dame St Werburgh St. and as above to Grange Castle.
The terminus at Docklands Station serves the new train station, which opens on Monday 12th March and also the numerous apartment blocks appearing all over Dublin's Docklands as the area continues to boom.
The first departure from Grange Castle at 08:30 was operated by AX522 while the first bus ex. Docklands Station was AX519.
Also from Sunday, March 4th the 25/A moved garage from Conyngham Road and are now operated by Phibsboro. This gives Phibsboro nearly full operation of the Lucan Road corridor, with the 66 & 67 group of routes already based there.
